Nutritional Information

Senior Meals is committed to serving the aging community in West Michigan with well-balanced, nutritious, and satisfying meals that nourish both body and spirit.

All meals are prepared by our professional cooking staff in our central kitchen, fully cooked, then blast chilled and distributed to our centers throughout the county. Menus are engineered with special attention to the nutrition of the meals, as well as the convenience and enjoyment they give our clients.

Meals prepared by Senior Meals Program meet strict requirements in nutritional value and include a protein, a full serving of fruit and two vegetables, a grain and a choice of skim, 2% or chocolate milk. We incorporate low sodium products whenever possible, and our meals can be consumed by most diabetics. Meals are designed to meet 1/3 RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowance) requirements.
