All meals are prepared from scratch in our central kitchen, fully cooked, then blast chilled and distributed to our centers throughout the county for home delivery or for congregate meals. Home delivered meals are available to senior citizens, 60 and over, living in Kent County who are homebound or unable to prepare meals for themselves. Meals for spouses and caregivers under 60 years of age are also offered when necessary. A nurse or social worker makes a home visit for a short assessment. We also provide liquid supplements to qualified homebound seniors with a doctor’s prescription. For those seniors who are able to get out and about, there are 12 congregate centers throughout Kent County for a noon time meal.
